To create the modules we have implemented the Plan curricular del Instituto Cervantes and also the guidelines of Common European Framework of Reference for Language skills.

Currently, our program is specially designed for individuals who want to start learning Spanish and aim to pass levels A1 and A2, as well as the DELE exam at the A2 level, a requirement for obtaining Spanish citizenship. This program is Spanish beginners and ideal for learning the basics of the Spanish language, allowing students to understand common phrases and expressions related to important everyday aspects such as basic information about themselves and their families, shopping, points of interest, work, etc. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared not only to communicate effectively in everyday situations but also to successfully pass the DELE A2 exam.

While we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, our goal is for you to complete the A1 course with the ability to:

Listening A1: I can recognise familiar Spanish words and very basic phrases concerning myself, my family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly.

Reading A1: I can understand familiar Spanish names, words and very simple sentences, for example on notices and posters or in catalogues.

Spoken Interaction A1: I can interact in a simple way provided the other person is prepared to repeat or rephrase things at a slower rate of speech and help me formulate what I’m trying to say. I can ask and answer simple questions in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics.

Writing A1: I can write a short, simple postcard in Spanish, for example sending holiday greetings. I can fill in forms with personal details, for example entering my name, nationality and address on a hotel registration form.

and for A2 course, our aim is:

Listening A2: I can understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary in Spanish related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment). I can catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements.

Reading A2: I can read very short, simple texts in Spanish. I can find specific, predictable information in simple everyday material such as advertisements, prospectuses, menus and timetables and I can understand short simple personal letters.

Spoken Interaction A2: I can communicate in Spanish with simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities. I can handle very short social exchanges, even though I can’t usually understand enough to keep the conversation going myself.

Writing A2: I can write short, simple notes and messages in Spanish relating to matters in areas of immediate needs. I can write a very simple personal letter, for example thanking someone for something.
